Thought Leadership Lab
Go behind the scenes to learn how top business thinkers build their brands and their businesses
An intimate workshop featuring fireside chats with top business thinkers sharing the secrets of branding and thought leadership
Sunday, November 7, 2027 · London, England · (the day before Thinkers50)
There's plenty of advice about becoming a thought leader, but most of it is basic: find your idea, be consistent, etc.
The real mechanics get discussed far less often. How do books actually get positioned and promoted? How do speaking careers really get built? How do rankings, media attention, and brand-name recognition actually happen? And what do the economics look like behind the scenes?
On Sunday, November 7, 2027 — the day before Thinkers50 in London — I'm hosting an intimate, one-day gathering to talk about exactly that. We'll spend the day in candid conversation, including fireside chats with two top business thinkers (to be announced), plus my own behind-the-scenes perspective.
I've been fortunate to be ranked four times on the Thinkers50 list of the world's top business thinkers, and I'll share what I've learned along the way.

This is a conversation, not a lecture. With a small group and a full day together, we can get into the specifics that rarely get talked about: exactly what the leverage points are that take an idea from nascent to ubiquitous, how platforms actually grow, and where the effort really pays off.
You'll hear honest reflections from people who have built enduring thought leadership brands, and you'll be able to ask the questions you've always wanted answered.
We'll meet in London on Sunday, November 7, 2027, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided, and the group will be capped to keep the conversation intimate.
If you're traveling to London for Thinkers50, this is the day before, so you can combine the two and arrive at the gala already connected to a group of interesting new colleagues. At Thinkers50 in 2025 - many of these attendees joined me for a workshop the day before
This is an intimate, high-trust day. The conversations will be open, and what's said in the room stays in the room, so our guests and participants can speak freely. Expect honesty, generosity, and a room full of people who take ideas seriously.
**Early registration bonus: The first 8 registrants will be invited to a private dinner with me the night prior (Saturday, Nov. 6, 2027). Six spots currently remain.**
Authors, speakers, consultants/coaches, and executives who are serious about building a recognized thought leadership brand
Professionals traveling to London for Thinkers50 who want to make the most of the trip
Anyone who wants to go beyond standard advice and have a candid conversation about what actually drives results
We'll feature two guest speakers who are luminaries in the business thought leadership world. The first is Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, who is the Chief Science Officer at Russell Reynolds Associates, a professor at University College London and Columbia University, and a Thinkers50 ranked thinker. The second will be announced closer to the date.
No, this is an independent event. I scheduled it for the day before Thinkers50 so that people traveling to London can conveniently combine the two. However, the gathering stands on its own and you do not have to attend Thinkers50 in order to participate.
Conversational and interactive. The day is built around fireside chats, open discussion, and Q&A, with plenty of time to connect with fellow participants over lunch and during breaks. This is a small-room experience where you can ask your own questions, so come with them in mind.
No. Our guests will be speaking more openly than they would on a stage or a podcast. It's a live, in-person, off-the-record experience. We will be taking photographs.
All ticket sales are final. However, if something unexpected arises, you're welcome to transfer your spot to a colleague or friend who would benefit from attending (please make sure to let me know).
No formal prep is required. It can be helpful to come with a few questions about your own thought leadership journey, whether that's a book you're planning, a platform you're building, or a positioning challenge you're working through.
The workshop will take place in central London. The address will be shared with registered attendees closer to the event date.
